Phone call

I received a phone call from one of my Dr.s today.  I haven't seen or spoken to this Dr. since I saw him in July, when he sent me to get the tests that confirmed my cancer had returned.  At first I was alittle concerned, as it's not always a good sign when the Dr.s office is calling you at home.  However, he was calling to see how I was doing, how treatments were going and what the prognosis was.  I have known and gone to this Dr. for about 30 years and have always had a good rapport with him, trusting his opinions and medical advice.  We had a good long conversation and he answered some questions that I had.  In today's world of medicine and Dr.s you are usually rushed thru and sent a bill, not alot of "personal" time spent answering questions and getting answers.  I was quite impressed that this Dr. took the time out to make the phone call, and in answering some of my questions, put my mind at ease, if for only alittle while.
