After beating ovarian cancer once, I've been re-diagnosed. Here I'll share my journey of chemotherapy and surgery including the ups and downs, laughter and tears and everything in between.

Catching up..

Realized it's been awhile since I've posted on the blog.  My last Dr. appointment went well..in and out within an hour..finally!!!  CA-125 is 8.6 and all is well, as he say's.  Went and had another scope of my esophagus and put on some medicine to help with the ulcers that are being caused by the chemo.  Also went and had my nose cauterized, to stop the constant nose bleeds, also caused by the chemo!

Had a wonderful time with my girlfriends at the quilt auction, even if I did get sick and was exhausted most of the time..still good to get away and have fun and laughter.

Busy with helping Abby get the wedding plans going..exciting time for her and me!

Had chemo yesterday and doing ok.  Took me all day today to plant a flower box and a flat of flowers under the tree!  Alittle at a time and it will all get done, thou I'm doing alot less this year than in the past.  I just don't have the energy to weed and maintain like years past..Bob keeps reminding me that I'm getting older too!!

Guess that's all for now..going to go sit outside and enjoy the early evening weather and watch the neighbors walk bye!   Peace & Love to all

Feeling good

It has been a great week off of chemo..feeling good..tired but good.  Another week off as I have a week-end planned with girlfriends, so it really gives me 2 whole weeks with no treatments!!!!

Also my beautiful daughter Abby got engaged to her college sweetheart, Dan Carito.  Bob and I are thrilled that she has found someone as wonderful as Dan. They are planning on getting married next year, so I have plenty of time to help plan the wedding and get thru all this cancer crap!

I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow with my oncologist.  Last time I waited over 2 hours for him, I informed the nurse today that I wouldn't do that again, if he isn't in the room within an hour I'm leaving.  So we will have to see what happens as I think an hour is too long to wait!

The week has gone bye fast and I've been feeling pretty good.  Family was here from out of state for a few days so have been busy running around, doing fun things.  We went and saw the Titanic Exhibition at the Henry Ford Museum. Wonderful artifacts from the ship and great history.  This time had the nurse give me a nausea patch to wear and it seems to have helped, as I didn't get sick.  Chemo again this friday and hoping that all will be well as I have several functions to go to on Saturday and the weather is getting better and want to be able to be outside working in the gardens!  Still having alot of nose bleeds and wish we could get it under control....My hair is still "thinning" out but am hopeful that I will be able to finish treatment without much more loss.  Again, can't begin to thank everyone for keeping me and my family in their prayers...Peace & Love...........
