After beating ovarian cancer once, I've been re-diagnosed. Here I'll share my journey of chemotherapy and surgery including the ups and downs, laughter and tears and everything in between.

Feeling great!

Hate to say that it's sunny and a warm 86 degrees out, when in Michigan they are having freezing rain!  We had a wonderful time with our friends Tracey and Craig and today Beth arrives for a weeks stay.  Good thing as she is bringing me more books to read.  I've been averaging a book every few days!!!  There's something about sitting on the beach and being able to read.  I have lots of books and it was one thing I wanted to do before getting sick, was to read everyday.  However the chemo makes it impossible to focus for any length of time and I become frustrated at the inability to retain what I just read, so my books have just stayed on the shelf.

I have been feeling great except for a little swelling in one foot and hand, which I had at home and my hair starting to fall out..  Every now and then the nausea returns, mostly from food smells.  Still can't stand the smell of baking bread!  Another 2 weeks here in Paradise then it's back to the Dr.s, chemo, tests, cat scans....ugh :(

    marcia,
Enjoy every single minute of the rest of your vacation! I too love reading, Joe bought me a Kindle for my birthday a few years ago and I just love it. It travels easy, is easy on the eyes to read down on the dock by the lake or out in the boat...I have over 500 books loaded on it so I'm never without something to read! Glad to hear your feeling good overall...have fun with your friends! Hopefully Michigan will be "thawed out" bu the time you get home! Hugs and love, Melana
