As the Chemo Drips...

After beating ovarian cancer once, I've been re-diagnosed. Here I'll share my journey of chemotherapy and surgery including the ups and downs, laughter and tears and everything in between.

Back in Michigan

Our 2 months in paradise came to an end this week.  Thankfully we arrived back home to spring like weather instead of cold and snow! Fun and games are over as I begin treatments again.  I've already completed a 3 1/2 hour round of chemo on Friday, will have another round this up-coming Friday, cat-scan on Monday and a Dr. visit on Friday march 30th to find out the results of the cat scan..and where we go from here.

The sunshine and being away did wonders for my soul. Lazy days sitting at the beach, reading and enjoying dinners with friends all helped lift my spirits.  Being home the depression has creeped back in some.  There was always something going on to keep my mind occupied, my body moving, etc in Mexico....here at home I have to make it happen. I did go to my nephews 30th birthday party and stayed for several hours, thou I wasn't feeling all that well.  Today I managed to get outside and sit in the sun for an hour or so. Looking forward to working in the yard and watching all my hostas pop up out of the ground..still alittle too iffy to un-cover them.  Also looking forward to catching up with friends and family we haven't seen since we left in January.  Will keep up-dating any results that come in.  Peace & Love   Marcia

Glad that the weather is at least sunny for you...hoping and praying things go well for you with this next 'battle'. I remember how beautiful the Hostas are and do miss them out here in the desert country. Luck and love...our prayers are always with you.

Seems we all get a bit "down" when the vacations end! It sounds like you guys had a great time in Mexico....and I'm happy the weather is so nice for you in Michigan (I'll have you know we had SNOW here in Tucson yesterday). Keeping you in my prayers as you continue with treatment...hang in there!

    Love you!
