After beating ovarian cancer once, I've been re-diagnosed. Here I'll share my journey of chemotherapy and surgery including the ups and downs, laughter and tears and everything in between.

One more chemo....

It has been a very busy past week (s) . Labor day came and went.  We only went to the book sale, didn't go to any of the Peach Festival activities..stayed clear of town!!   Had a Dr appointment and was told everything was ok with my bone scan, I just have arthritis in my hip, which is good news as I was sure the cancer had spread to my bones. Made a crazy decision to have my 6 month cat scan done at 7:00 a.m. which meant I had to have the bottles of barium drank by 6:00 a.m. and at the hospital by 6:30 a.m.!!!!  Of course thinking about it when I went to bed, I woke up at 2:30 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep.  Needless to say it was a very long day!!  Assuming all is well with the cat scan as I haven't heard anything from the Dr. and my CA-125 is around 10.  I have chemo this Wednesday and will find out if and how much more the tumor has shrunk.  Chemo again next week and then I should be DONE with this treatment plan and move onto the maintenance chemo..that is after a trip to Maine with the camper to visit family and do some early fall traveling.  Just got home from a week-end trip to Indiana with a girlfriend, one of our annual trips to a quilt auction.  Had a wonderful time and I'm feeling good, hoping it carries over these next few weeks and I can get thru the treatments with no problems.     Peace & Love to all..........Marcia

Everything sounds so positive! Great news all around, prayers will continue though. :) The quilt auction must of been so nice, the pics you posted were beautiful, such detail. There is a ton of work that goes into a quilt! Keep on keeping on cousin...your almost to that finish line! Hugs and love...
