Well it has been quite some time since I last posted here on the blog. I have healed quite well from the surgery, have a few pains in one incision area, but for the most part I'm doing fine. Abby's wedding had kept me quite busy and my mind off the cancer treatment that lay ahead. The wedding went beautifully, the rain held off and the sun even poked out for a few minutes. It was a truly spectacular day.
I started my new chemo on Monday,Oct 7th. It was tough as I still had family staying here from out of town and wanted to do things with them. It only took about 4 hours after taking the first 2 pills that the effects hit. Extremely tired and nauseous and just wanted to crawl back into bed. I managed to make it thru 2 days before falling apart and having to spend all day and night in bed, only getting up to use the bathroom. Was beginning to think this wasn't the right choice of chemo for me. I did get out my sea bands that I wear when flying for nausea and they seemed to help. A call to the Dr. to see if I could take the pills at night instead of the day didn't work. They wanted me to take them during the day in case there was a problem. So...............
Now I'm on day 7 of the round of 21 pills and I'm feeling somewhat better. At least I'm out of bed and getting dressed, if it' only clean pajamas! We did go to friends for dinner last night and I was back home in bed before 8:00pm Still makes me very tied and gives me the hiccups, but I'm not throw up sick so that is good. If all goes well, we are planning on one more short week trip with the little camper up the east side of Michigan next week and go to Mackinaw and see the colors and just try to relax from all the years worth of wedding planning and dealing with Dr.s
Will try to keep more posts coming, but truly am not too motivated to keep up with much of anything right now. My spirits are still pretty low as I"m still trying to come to terms with a dear friends unexpected death and to work myself thru all dr fata put me thru the past few years. Definite a struggle that I need to work out. Thanks to everyone who has been keeping me in their prayers, I hope you will continue to do so.
Peace & Love
Marcia

Marcia, I was actually just reading a few of your posts on your blog and wanted to let you know that you can count me as another person who is praying for you. I had a quick question for you and was hoping you could email me back when you get the chance. Thanks so much.
Emmy
